A great weekend for Scottish golf Paul Lawrie winning in Spain and Martin Laird winning at Bayhill, has this been done before ?

Great to see Paul Lawrie back in the winner circle again and Martin Laird has had a few close one recently ,he needs to lose the Yank accent tho.

See you jimmy, I dont give a......he can talk whatever way he wants.

Not gamesmanship, but this did mess with my mates head:
Said mate, on the 13th hole of a very slow round had to let his wife know he was going to be delayed. But he found that his mobile phone was flat, so he asked to borrow mine.
"Sure", I said, but if she answers by saying "Its ok to come round lover, he's out playing golf", he should treat that as a little joke.
He hit his next drive miles and straight.
That'll teach me!

Thought the finish to the AP Invitational at Bay Hill was actually good to watch due to it being down to 2 / 3 of the 'lesser known' players contesting, and each doing their best to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!!! All credit to Martin Laird for having the bottle to get the job done in the end. No doubt the best 75 he's ever shot!!

Awesome putt on the last for Laird. 86 ft round the slope to within 4ft.

I was so pleased he made it.

Nice to see Lawrie back on top spot again also.

Only slight downer about this for me was the presenters on the Bay Hill announcing it was a double win for Scotland with Lawrie winning also - the european game was on straight after and I was going to watch that next !!

Im sorry but I dont believe that either of them are genuinely Scottish as neither are ginger :D

Ginger hair is a Scandinavian gene from the days of Vikings raping and pillaging, just as common in England as anywhere else in UK. It is neither Celtic or Pictish.

Here endeth your lesson for today. ;)

With Sandy Lyle winning the most recent European Seniors Tour event this must be the first time ever Scotland has 3 holders of the most recent titles - what are the odds on three players from the same country with a surname starting with the same letter achieving this - yes I am bored before you ask! :D
