2-FORE!-1 is closing

On Tue 28 Feb, we will be closing the 2-FORE!-1 golf voucher scheme. As a customer, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for being part of our brand and we hope you have benefited from our service.

What happens now...

New customers will be unable to purchase vouchers online via card payment from Tuesday 28 February. Customers with existing store credit will be able to redeem vouchers until Wednesday 31 May, 2017. All vouchers will be valid until the expiry date shown on the voucher. After this date, we will turn off 2-FORE!-1 and close all accounts.

One less thing pushing up general pay green fees!

Did I miss something with the scheme. Whenever I was given vouchers it was 2 for 1, obviously, but the one had to be the full green fee. When you go onto the various online booking sites you could usually get 2 green fees for less than the 1 full one if you were flexible enough. This was particularly true of certain courses where they had over inflated green fees that no one ever paid at full price. I don't think I ever actually ended up using one.

I tried to search via my Postcode and got no results and when I did it by region it has 4 courses showing at a time in a a bar which keeps shifting - no way am I watching that until a course I am interested in turns up. I want to know how far away it is at least.

Also, I can't chose North West from the pull-down menu.

Hi Thanks for the information.

Our tech guys are working more on the postcode issue as it currently displays only ones in your postcode and not close to it hence you are seeing none probably. This will be fixed asap for you.

This will be easier to search as the home page is just a snippet of what is on the site. Click on the course directory and select North West in the left hand search region. You can then for example type cheshire and it will filter out.
I can see the issue if the top search box has North West in it then the side one doesnt. I have reported this to the tech team to also fix as they ran an update yesterday and it appears to have knocked something out of sink with these boxes.

As I sure you can appreciate when launching a new site there are always a few small teething issues and we thank you for taking the time out to let us know the issues you have found so we can make the user experience as simple and enjoyable as possible.

I used to use these schemes several years ago, but clubs have responded positively and now offer reduced rates at certain times and special offers. Also with the growth of golf now hot deals the 2for1 schemes (and there are a few) are no longer good value. I have not used them in years and can never imagine doing so again.

Also note most clubs are happy to match golf now hot deal rates.

Never heard of this. My mate has the teetimes app though and books through there, that's often cheaper than the standard green fees.
