15 years ago I played a lot of Golf before the kids were born, but always with mates and never got a handicap. I had a swing like a cricketer but have always been naturally good at sports and turn my hand to pretty much anything.
Anyways 18 months ago my son wanted to try golf, he has joined a junior academy. This winter he really worked at his game and at 11 years old got an adult handicap of 33.
Anyways since then he hasn't played in any tournaments as really needs me to be with him to play so he hassled me to get my handicap too. Over Xmas I had a series of lesson to fix my dodgy swing which went really well.
Played my 3 rounds and handed in cards and got my handicap back, I now play off 10 and am really chuffed with that.
Now to play some comps with him.
