Did you shout "GO IN THE HOLE!" when it was on it's way?
Ace! (So to speak)
Well done.... I've still never had one but will keep plugging away.
One day you might get that piece of luck that I got mate.
Well done Kev, I can't imagine what it would be like.
Give us a commentary then... rolled in, bounced in, could you even see it go in?
169yds?
I hope it was no more than an 8 iron![/QUOTE
Region: There is where my bit 'embarressment' kicks in!
Its a tough uphill par 3 with no fairway just rough/semi rough/then 20 yards of 'fringe' before the green.I am not a long hitter so I cant get there with a iron.I can get that distance with my 22d rescue but have not the confidence to use it off the tees AND in the current heavier conditions I could not land that club shot on or next to the green. So I am 'afraid' it was my driver that did it!!!
Ita an elevated tee so yes I saw it go in...I wanted left of the bunker as the rough/semi rough plays left to right (like the green huge slope ) in the hope it would kick right on to the green. But I hit it too straight and it flew around 155 yards at the bunker. The power took it out of the bunker near the back lip.....and it curved in a half circle toward the hole and rolled in.Time stopped still at first for me.Surreal, culdnt believe it.My 2 playing partners went dafter than me! 2 green keepers saw it as well.
Then after 20 seconds or so I couldnt keep calm couldnt shut up was dead excitedWouldnt believe it properly until I saw in it IN THE HOLE!!
Found it very hard to concentrate properly on the next tee....but it gave me a great feeling to hit a cracking drive down the fairway AND keep enough concentration to score on every hole bar 1 that was left.Forgive me I may have already mentioned this earlier!
Cheers
Kev
Well done mate. Never had one close but never the prize.
great shot well done. only a dream for most of us!
enjoy, and well played scoring on all holes giving away 5 shots a little cut too as well?
That's awesome well done, it certainly is a great feeling.
Congrats![/QUOTE
Bratty: thanks a lot mate
I'm trying to to work out which hole it was. Is that the one in the top corner near the club house.Well done.
Well done Kev , great feeling , had my 1st earlier in the year, savage feeling ... did it help an already decent score ? talk us through it,[/QUOTE
bladeplayer:cheers.wonderful feeling it is.yeah I had a very good round and kept concentrating AFTER the ACE to only fail to score on 1 hole the 16th...back 9 was 16 putts (best ever) and 44 strokes (2nd best ever )Mentioned in an earlier post how it happened.
YES , I was there...........and chuffed to bits for Kev
I watched it all the way , shouted for it to jump the bunker ( it did ) , then 1 more bounce, a roll, and IN THE HOLE
There were even 2 greenkeepers watching from behind the green
Id played 1st , and knocked a 6 iron into about 5 Feet , and was more than happy, then Kev sinks his ACE , great stuff, and in an Open Comp too, well done again mate
Cheers Brian
Your shot was fantastic a proper golf shot..mine was 90% luck but I am still very proud and happy.
