12 Degree Driver

I bought a Benross Hot Speed 2 driver last year. Comes with 12 deg as standard but it doesn't baloon, in fact I would say the flight is more penetrating than my previous Nike 10 deg. I think it may be that they've increased the loft but changed the weighting so that spin is reduced. It goes long and straight. Great club for £40 new when I bought it.

Hit it off the deck, off the back foot, gripped half way down the shaft and shout "stay down you ******" into impact?

If you can do that then presumably you can hit a 9 degree high too

I have an X2 Hot and switched from 10.5 to 12 when I struggled with getting it high enough (this happened after a swing change resulting in delofting my irons a bit).


Worked for a while and I found that in general it was more forgiving but shorter.


I've since changed back to 10.5 as I've managed to adjust my driver positions to get the height back and vastly prefer it, distances have been decent of late, 235-250 on fairways with zero roll....so I've decided to change driver....go figure!

Im playing my 9 deg Callaway great big Bertha driver at 11deg and playing it with a 3 wood shaft in it. Plays approx 43" but getting good results so far
