1000FPS Fail!

Not exactly a huge fail, but I thought (with my last ball at the range) I'd try to film a ball being hit from close range at 1000fps since the camera can do it (albeit at a vastly reduced image size).

Not without a little fear I put my camera on the mat about 4" from the ball. It's a bit daunting addressing the ball with a new toy that close to it, but I figured I'd have to miss the ball on the outside to do any damage and I don't think I've ever done that.

No, the fail isn't that I totalled my camera.

The fail is me not thinking about how short a time the club is in contact with the ball, and that it would actually look rubbish at 1000fps. A quick search on Youtube reveals they are done at 17,500fps or more! :eek:
