People using 'golf' as a verb ie the commentators on the PGA tour at the moment frequently saying "he really is golfing his ball" ...

Or people saying "he doesn't golf" ... NO IT'S 'HE DOESN'T PLAY GOLF'

I watch so much American sport these days it's almost become 2nd nature to me, but to medal & to podium are just wrong.
Winningest is a big Yank phrase which can get a bit annoying as well.

BTW, Nice review of the new London Grammar release. It's been on my iPod for a few days now and it's a cracker. Hadn't heard the Wicked Game cover. I'm gonna have to find that as WG is in my all time top 10 songs...:thup:

Cool minimalist set up. She's a bit better looking than old Chris as well aint she? The CD reminds me a bit of late Portishead with the vocal doing most of the work over a fairly low key back set... Really enjoying it. Keep up the good reviews..:thup:

The word golf is recognised as a verb so if you're going to rant about it try to make sure you're at least in the right.
