Get yourself a proper safety razor and a decent box of razor blades. Nothing comes close to it (except maybe a cutthroat but that takes a lot of practice!)

100% agree with this. I had a similar dilemma a few years ago when my Nephew started to play. He used cut down clubs first but we noticed a big difference when he switched to proper junior clubs.

We had the exact same problem just before Christmas. As above, I ended up disconnecting it and tipping it on its side to completely drain any water out. Reconnected and all sorted.
