Golf balls for beginners/very high handicappers

Yesterday I was playing alone and got stuck behind a ladies 4 ball who didn't want to let me through. I decided to use my time to practice a lot and enjoyed it a lot. Dropping half a dozen balls and playing them into the greens working on different types of chipping and pitching. I also went...

Golf balls for beginners/very high handicappers

They are fine. Put titleist or callaway on the box and you would pay £12/15 for 12 of them. Honestly not a bad ball at all. Not the best but I'd rather play them to something that is been underwater for an unknown amount of time or refurbished. 95% if golfers including me don't need a premium...

    Driver with adjustment draw setting

If he has a massive slice he is better off spending his money on lessons. I should know - one lesson took my driver from unusable to good many years ago. If he doesn't fix it then it will show up in his woods, hybrids and longer irons. Fix the problem, don't pay for a solution.

    Cleveland thoughts?

My lob wedge is Cleveland. 60 degrees with 10 degrees of bounce. I'd love to get something fancier. But it does the job really well. It just works and it's a club I am confident in. Get what works for you. I'd say kb shots were a strong point for me so the fancy brand isn't something that is...

Golf balls for beginners/very high handicappers

The balls I recommended I've had a go with. I wouldn't play it all the time but generally, a ball lasts me 2 or 3 rounds. Play the same ball. Play the same clubs. Make you the variable. Golf is hard enough without wondering if a ball will react how it should. When you hit a good shot get...

Going to try out some hybrids today

How do you find the gap between 6 iron and 5 hybrid?

Golf balls for beginners/very high handicappers

None of the above. Go to sports direct and pay £18 for 48 Slazenger v300 balls. I gave this advice to a brand new golfer I'm mentoring at my club. Preferably in yellow as they will be easier to find. They will be just as good as the options you gave for your level without having the...

    Driver with adjustment draw setting

General advice like this isn't the best really. I can draw, slice, hook or fade the ball without adjusting my grip in the slightest. He's better off getting someone to have a look in person who knows what they are doing. OP nothing wrong with setting up your club away from open. I'm sure...

Going to try out some hybrids today

How do you manage the gaps? I know for a fact that my 3 hybrid is a good 30 yards further than my 3 iron. So lets assume you hit your 8 iron 140ish. 7 hybrid would be what 170? Have you played with the lofts on your irons or shortened the shafts of the hybrids to try and match them? Everyone...

Going to try out some hybrids today

Bit of getting used to? Just hit it like you would your 3 or 4 iron off the deck. Or off the tee if that's your thing. I don't have a special swing for hybrids.

Going to try out some hybrids today

Have fun. Sure you know but remember a 3h isn't the same as a 3i. Generally speaking the 3h will go a fair bit further than a 3i. Tbh I seem them more as a fairway wood replacement than an iron replacement. I carry both a 3i and 3h. Hybrid is very versatile and is great when you have a long...

    Course design you dislike.

And if the ball never went in the hazard it wouldn't be very much fun would it? The challenge is dealing with the obstacles, not eliminating them.

    Course design you dislike.

Never before have I read such moaning. I'm sorry if that upsets some people or makes me unpopular. But you all seem to want golf to be incredibly easy and utterly boring. Lets' break it down: 1. Bling tee shots. These add excitement and make you questions which club to use. Most competent...

    SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!

The video is at an angle that's why. And the ball is perfectly in the middle of his stance. I won't say anything more as this bobmac guy looks like he regularly forgets more than I'll ever know about swinging a club (not sure if he is a pro but if he is I'd be tempted to have a lesson with him...
