upton by chester gets my vote, bit biased as i am a member there, its quite a short course but tight, stray and your going to struggle, i know that every round i play lol,
upton has lockers, i have one its a £20 yearly fee
went for a round yesterday, i say round but i couldnt finish it as i was in agony
i was running a little late, and a member i hadnt played with before was waiting on the 1st tee for me, so i rushed getting clubs out of locker, and headed for the first tee,
i usually warm up arm back stretches...
why i hit a playing partners mizzy blades better than my own cavity backed irons
he was using mp 69's mine are nike vr full cavity
long par 3 i usually hit my hybrid, instead i hit his tiny thin 4iron, and lovely strait penetrating flight and made the green,
another long par 3 i again hit...
practically no improvement in 25years?! i couldnt play the game if that was me!
i did laugh at the end and feel a bit sorry for him when it said the drop from the divot wasnt a rules breach tho
homer - me feeling like this is a very new thing, in the past i came off and beat myself up about it, now i just feel happy with what i did right i know where i went wrong and want to get back out asap to try and put it right,
daveyg - yeah im new to the game, only picked up sticks last august...
I'm knocking at the door, all i need to do is walk through it i can feel im close to breaking through it!
i played today in our mid week medal, and walked off with an avg score for me 104, nett 76 but, but! im not dissapointed with where i went wrong, well i am but im happy about all the things...
today we had a 4BBB stableford comp, and i played crap to start, thankfully my partner never, i picked my act up at about the 7th, and we went out in 19, coming back i finally made use of the shots i get and we posted a 21 in, total 40points,
we where 3rd when i left with 1st and 2nd on...
yes i am proud and still got a cheesy grin on my face, i did try getting my 6yo daughter into it, but she prefers her singing and dancing, so hopfull Cade will stick with it as he grows, imma try and keep him interested, starting tonight more golf on sky!
