Hello all,
Our club is going onto winter fairway mats on Monday (21st October), there has been a lot of rain recently and the course is quite damp but I don't think its bad enough for mats yet.
The weird thing is we played this weekend and it wasn't even clean and place.
Anyone else on Mats?
Ah yes the dreaded golf interview. I had mine 3 years ago, it was the first time I'd joined a club!. Guy who was "interviewing" me was a member of the board. Put on a shirt and some trousers and headed for the club.
Meets the chap in the bar who precedes to buy me a drink, chat for a bit about...
It did feel weird interlocking at first and even a little painful. I think interlocking is better if you have smaller hands, overlapping might be better with larger hands.
I played baseball grip as a junior for years. Took a golf sabbatical for about 15 years when I was 17, when i came back had a lesson and he switched me to interlocking. Never looked back tbh and when I try swinging with baseball grip now it feels so wooden.
My issue isn't with people playing slow, my issue is with people playing slow and NOT letting people through.
Sounds like you guys did nothing wrong, I was playing in our fiddle other week (4 balls) and a one ball caught us up. I said let's let him through. One guy say f him and rest of group...
I bought a slazenger putter about 4 months ago as a bit of a laugh from sports direct. Cost me £12, It's a bit like a 2 ball design, i normaly use a ping anser. My mate took the piss when I turned up with it. Stopped laughing after I was nailing putts and taking his 5ers.
I just use it in...
