So am I right in saying it’s ok to play the wrong ball and finish the hole with that ball if you feel that you were at a disadvantage in doing so and add two penalty strokes and if you not sure if you gained an advantage you would have to play two balls and the Committee will decide which...
No I’m a bit confused as to how the committee can rule on a serious breach. Don’t get this either.
No Serious Breach.
If a second ball was played, all strokes with that ball (including strokes made and any penalty strokes solely from playing that ball) do not count.I maybe over thinking...
Any simple way of explaining this rule.
If a second ball was played, all strokes with that ball (including strokes made and any penalty strokes solely from playing that ball) do not count.
We had our course record broken with a penalty drop from water on the 18th par 3 the player made a five but broke the record by 1. The record was then broken again last year don’t think there were any penalty drops in that round though.
I have similar issues ignored it for a couple of years until it became unbearable after and during playing golf. Went to the doctors feeling worried after a self diagnosis and I was right “Morton’s neuroma†had an injection in the worst foot no change actually felt worse after. Got a...
I been wondering about course records at everyone’s golf course.
When does a player set a new course record given the major changes to the rules of golf.
That is significant changes to the type of penalty areas going from yellow to red, or extending or removing out of bounds. New plugged...
Similar scenario happened to Matt Wolff today on the 12th hole at the pheonix open today. ðŸ‘
Commentators thought he may of dropped nearer the hole but he never 😉
There may have been a drop zone 😂 it’s was a long time ago 🙈
Th
is is from another forum where the same scenario was asked.
If red, you have two additional options.
Within 2cl of the point it last crossed the margin of the WH, not nearer the hole than that point
or on the opposite...
I played a course in Tenerife it had a longish par 3 with a cactus plantation beyond the green marked with red stakes this is one situation you can drop nearer the hole to where your ball lies as you can drop a ball where it last crossed the hazard(penalty area) within 2 club lengths.
If you hit the ball during your swing and the ball remains in the teeing area your allowed to tee the ball back up. But only if the ball remains in the teeing area ðŸ‘
Does anyone know if this is allowed.
I have a long putt and hole the ball with the flag still in.
Is there anything in the rules that state that my ball must be removed from the hole before my playing partners play their putts from similar distance and also hole the putt while my ball is still...
Removing the internal OOB would cause significant danger to players playing the previous hole as it’s a severe open dogleg. My preferred option is going to be to move the OOB 2 or 3 metres.
Let’s see where I get with it it applies on 2 holes specifically ðŸ‘
I agree but I feel this would just confuse things for players not really knowing the local rules it’s bad enough now with players not sure of what’s right and what’s not.
Less local rules easier to play within the rules ?
