I put football-style pentagons all over it in a home-made imitation of a Truvis ball (rip-off merchants!).
A ball I found once was marked "LOST BY MARK" on it, which made me laugh.
So the shaft is hollow, right? so I want something inside it that tells me audibly when I overswing (obviously with a way to disable it when playing competitively.
I want the GPS device given out on the 1st tee that you must keep with you and it shouts at you when you're going too slowly.

I don't think there's a "usual". It depends on the change. I'm trying to make a change at the moment and keep trying to make the new swing in slow motion (without a club) whenever I can. Just trying to groove the new moves.
If your swing is consistent and you don't want to change it, getting clubs that mediate the faults is fine. But most people aren't consistent and the clubs recommended one day may be completely wrong every other day.
I get the having the right length, the right lie and the right grip size but...
21 degree 909H but also carry a 3 and 4 iron as they do different things for me. In the summer on dry courses I replace the hybrid with a 1-iron for the run off the tee on some shots.
Not to argue or anything but I'm dubious about this fitting stuff and I'll tell you why. Sitting comfortably?
So I'm in American Golf and they have a Trackman. I mention I might be interested in new irons (I have MP-52s, Dynamic Gold R300) and they dig out an 825Pro, stick a shaft in it with...
Playing at Great Lakes in Thailand many years back in a society vs society day. The entire two societies are waiting by the first and it's agreed that the two captains will play plus each society's lowest handicapper which meant me (at the time I was off 6).
My captain then goes and wins the...

Great biography of an amazing man.
I have played Royal Blackheath as a guest of the Club Secretary and the course is not worth the fees. It's a "status" club worth it for those who use it for corporate entertaining and little else. The golf simply isn't good enough.
Birchwood Park is OK but it gets very busy with inexperienced...
Range finders just give the amateur golfer the same benefit the pros get - accurate yardages.
The only thing I would ban is the belly putter as I do not believe the club should touch any part of the body than the hands.
Which makes adverts like the current one for the RBZ even more of a lie than usual advertising.
"Ooh, look it's 231 yds instead of 217! Buy RocketBallz!"
Of course, it's longer. It's a not a 5-iron; it's a 4-iron!
Was trying out a putter in the one on the A20 at Sidcup and one of the guys:
a) stopped me buying it
b) measured me for my own putter and told me it was too long
c) cut down the putter by an inch and re-gripped it
d) charged me a tenner for the grip and *nothing else*
Feels much better now.
