Tapton has a 9 hole academy course as well as the main course which comes back to the car park/club house after 9. Birley also laid out to just play front 9. Rother valley par 3 is good, most holes 100yds or less.

I had one with the wrong screw, didn’t know that until your post! Managed to swap with one I had at home, bit of a nerd for having a supply of screws, nuts, bolts etc.

A few pairs of the powakaddy winter wheels recently sold on ebay for £20 which would my pref. Had mine a few years and will be swapping them in this weekend.

Embrace autumn/winter golf I say. A different challenge, easier in some cases when the tees are moved up, the greens receptive and no hard fairways on my aching feet. What’s the alternative? Shopping? DIY? Chores? ?

Wow, good work right there! When the same happened to me, twice ??, I sent the head back to ping to be reshafted as it was cheaper than buying a new iron and I kept the same spec as the rest of my irons.

Think banning smoking on the course is a great idea regardless of the dry conditions. Other golfers shouldn’t have to inhale cigarette smoke if they don’t wish to.

My least favourite major but in this desert of significant golf tournaments I’m quite looking forward to it. I shall do my best to refrain from grumbling at the coverage from sky...probably ?. I fancy DJ, what say you?
