    Ryder Cup 2021

I wonder how much the course was an advantage for the Americans. The par 3s were great, but there seemed to be a lot of par 4s where they were trying to knock it on the green or get as close as possible. There weren't a lot of bad/unplayable lies when they were in the thick stuff just off the...

    Rangefinders allowed in majors

I saw a pro talk about introducing range finders a year or so ago. He said it would not make a difference. Pros rarely shoot at the flag. They're looking at landing zones, the wind, carry distances and whatnot. If they start using range finders to measure more than the distance to the flag...

    Missing Golf?

What I've started to realize is not only how much golf I play, but how much frustration it causes me. At this time of year, I'd probably be on the range and walk a few holes 3 or 4 evenings a week and play 18 on Saturday and/or Sunday. I have a strong desire to play good golf (for my level)...

    Any mathematicians out there?

My kids have asked me what's the point of learning maths. I told them, it's because if they ever have children, they can help them with their maths homework.

    Any clubs closed ?

Yesterday, the closure was extended to 1st June. I hope not being able to play golf is the biggest problem I have as a result of this crisis.

When do you think you will next play golf?

    That's what I thought too.

Best Way To Keep Cats Off My Lawn?

I totally agree. I never saw a cat in our garden when we had dogs.

Coronavirus - how is it/has it affected you?

What's working? Stopping it? I don't think so. Slowing down the death rate so that the emergency services can help save some lives. A few countries have started to see the daily death rate drop on some days. That's what working means IMO. Uncontrolled, it's been doubling every three days.

Coronavirus - how is it/has it affected you?

And these are the sort of people that, if the measures work, will say it was all a fuss about nothing. However, I cannot see how this is not going to affect everybody in some way sooner or later.

    Any clubs closed ?

I'm a Brit and have been here 27 years. I'm on my second pair for working in the garden. I worked with a man once who told me he'd only not worn clogs on one day - the day he got married. I also know a woman who grew up on a farm. Her father had a special pair he only worn as his sunday best.

Coronavirus - how is it/has it affected you?

I honestly don't understand what's going on in the UK. You should know what's coming. Letting people do what they want is only going to make things much worse. IMO movements should be restricted as a precaution.

    Any clubs closed ?

I don't know what you pay in the UK nowadays. I pay € 1,300 a year. I was recently paying € 1,000 for a better course (IMO) but a much worse club to be a member of.

    Any clubs closed ?

Where are you going? if you can. On the coast? There are some great courses along the coast.

    Any clubs closed ?

I live just south of Eindhoven. Here, it's still regarded very much as a sport that is only for the wealthy, unfortunately. Have a friend nearer Amsterdam and the demographic there seems to be a bit different. I'm 51 and am regarded as a young golfer.

Coronavirus - how is it/has it affected you?

I'm in the Netherlands. Although we're not in lockdown, pubs, clubs, etc. are closed. Many shops have also decided to close. I don't assume a lockdown will not happen here. I'm walking between 2 and 4 hours a day at the moment. Yesterday, I started to learn how to skip in preparation of a lockdown.
