Rules on ball in red stake after tee shot

Been googling around, and have found lots of articles explaining the 1-drop penalty rule after going into red staked areas, but what happens if that is off the tee? I know if you hit first shot into red area, and you hit a provisional you are then playing 3 off the tee (with that ball in play)...

Trying to understand the WHCP graph

Ok, so in my case for the screenshot I provided .. I was playing off a HCP index of 24.4 (for that round) .. but I played to a HCP level of 21.9 (therefore under HCP)?

Trying to understand the WHCP graph

Thanks both, it looks like the score, is the score differential, which again might need a lesson on that ... I presume is the difference between my score .. say, I went round in 90, and what the course rating is .. say 72 PAR, the score differential would be 22 .... Or have I got that completely...

Trying to understand the WHCP graph

I have started to register my rounds with the app for the World Handicap Golf System, that I need to use (Wales Golf App), however, I am slightly confused by the graph that they are presenting. I kinda get what the green line is, however, do not understand the other line and how they relate to...

Sports Direct - Slazenger 300 Golf Balls - 48 balls for £20 any good

I use the V300 myself, and in most conditions I find they are fine, sometimes may not grip/spin as much on the greens, however, when the greens are damp or at least not burnt out from summer dryness, I do find that they stop quick enough. I use the V300, as a 24 HCP, like others have said .. I...

    PlayMoreGolf Membership

Suppose the difference for me .. is that even in height of summer, I am still going to be restricted to a game a week

    PlayMoreGolf Membership

That's really helpful. The points look quite reasonable then ... if playing after 5pm each week, that's 26 games of golf (at home course) ... keeping in mind I think Tredegar park membership is £700 per year .... and PMG is £350 (I think)

    PlayMoreGolf Membership

Are you bothered about competition golf? Not really .. might join 1 or 2 a year, although believe the option might also be there to join further comps with PlayMoreGolf What days/times are you looking to play? Last year, tended to play on a Wednesday evening, after 4.30-5.00, then an occasional...

    PlayMoreGolf Membership

So, I am thinking from April joining the PlayMoreGolf system. The course that I currently belong to, is listed, and due to the amount of times I am able to play (once a week), this seems like a good option, cost-wise, bearing in mind, I do not play that much in the winter However, just want a...

    Wedge distances

I would def look at the ball that you are using. I did a test the other week with a 56 degree wedge and a number of balls, as I was trying to figure out which one was best for me. As you can see from the table below, there is quite a bit of difference in distance, then factor in different...

    Wales (WHS) Golf App

Should I mention you when I am there next. Yeah Julian, really nice guy ... and he is trying to expand (not size wise) the course, new clubhouse and a plan on what to do with the course .... :-)
