Good? Me? glad you've asked. I got asked to do Karaoke on Friday night at a pub I get gigs at now and again. We had a cracking night. Landlady was out, so I got to set up the mixer without her interferrence and got the BEST SOUND out of their speakers I've ever had. At the end of the night four people came up to me as I was in my Karaoke after glow and praised my hosting skills and said they would be having a chat to the landlady to get me on more often (I usually do Saturday nights there and the Friday night lot had never seen me before). Saturday morning was golf, all good, not seen results but won't be last LOL. Saturday night was ANOTHER karaoke night at a new venue (pub) for me. I knew the Landlord and he's recently taken over the place and is trying different things to see what fits. I took 16 friends and relations with me. I worked my bluddy socks off in attempt to engage the locals. Luckilly enough responded and my negotiated monitary recompence was increased by £20 for my efforts (and I am led to believe the drinking skills of both my sons). Again, I got thanked for a great night by the locals and got re-booked for the end of August.

Top Weekend !!!!!

Good to hear it was successful, although not my cup of tea. Any audience participation and my missus and i head for the door! :-)

My weekend was golf-less as some mates of ours are both 50 this year so they hired out a Manor House in Dorset for the whole weekend birthday bash..... excellent it was too!

lol, your post reads like that IT guy in the Office - "I did a few laps and the owner pulled me aside and said, oi mate no professionals, I said I'm not a professional, he said driving like that you should be!" :ROFLMAO:

I did Parkrun on Saturday morning for only the second time this year. It was humid, I felt like I barely made it round and did poorly, but when the time got emailed to me, I was only 4 seconds slower than my personal best. A PB I set 3 years ago. So that was a pleasant surprise. Then went and played golf in the afternoon, shot 3 under net, won the medal (div 2) and got cut from 19 to 16. In the evening we managed to get a takeaway from Pepe's for only £6.45 because Deliveroo had messed us about so many times I had like £20 worth of credit vouchers on my account. So a good day really.

On Sunday my footy team had a friendly against a much better side, we were 1-0 up at half time but ultimately lost 2-1. I got 90 minutes and was subsequently shattered after my exploits from Saturday. All good for the fitness though I suppose.

***Warning Elf and Safety issue****

Cutting the hedge hiding my oil tank.
It is an awkward tight spot to work in.
I can just about reach over from my stepladder to a safe spot.
Remembered that last year I put my trusty lemonade crate in between to make a stepping stone and a safer move.
Lost my balance stepping off the ladder and fell full whack onto the lemonade crate.
Result
Small axe like cut to my forearm and technicolour graze the length of my thigh. Seriously lucky that it was not as bad as I first thought.

Lady Doon was quite concerned until she found out that I had not damaged the oil tank.

To coin a phrase...
You need to be more careful!

I committed a similar stupidity, last year, and I am still paying the price...
And, point of order... There is no u in Technicolor 😉... After twenty glorious years within... I ought to know...

My eldest grandson [13] is going to help me with some garden wall painting work.
I asked the head of the house if £5 an hour is too mean.
She looked up minimum wage for 16 year olds and apprentices and believe it or not £5 is very generous.

My son once decided to 'help' me paint a wall. Trouble was he picked up the roller I was just about to clean outside in the garden and set about on the 'natural' stone walls.

You know Bruce Lee's not really dead don't you?

bit of a wet one wasn't it this week? I was off for four days (birthday). Rain rain rain. Golf out the window. so ended up doing retail therapy. Got some proper bargins at Mountain Warehouse (see other thread). Karaoke on Friday was a blast, yup, I've got the gig!!!! More alcohol and food on Saturday night at my lads. Even more on Sunday, as I did a Greek lunch with a mezze start and Stifado dinner. Three tier chocolate cake for dessert, made by wifey. I was full up at 6pm and couldn't eat or drink another thing. Managed a game of golf yesterday. couldn't get the ball off the tee but second shot was brilliant so made a reasonable score.....on back nine. All in all not bad.
