Right bit of background info.....

I promised myself at the beginning of the year that if I got to single figs this year as a reward I would treat myself to a new set of irons. I have achieved this....

However I have a dilema...

I have always liked the I series Pings and also the Titleist AP1. My problem is that the new AP1 have been launced and they look amazing. But there are no pics around of the I20 and no confirmed reports from Ping that they will even be released. I will be custom fitted for whichever I choose but do I wait to see if the I20 come out.....

I dont really wanna buy the I15s as they could soon be out of date. I am looking to purchase in October once our medals are done so I have the winter to bed them in etc...

What would you do?????? decisions....

Oh and to make matters worse there is no £££ decision as I have £300 in pro shop account from winnings and have been offered £150 for my well used x20 tours......

Help!!! or any1 with any further I20 info?

I'd go for the Titleists, but that's because I don't like the look of recent Ping irons.

Question is have you ever hit either sets (old APs or I15s)? How do you know you either are good for you?

Can't believe that Ping wont bring out the i20. The i15 is coming up 2 years old, the Anser is too expensive and the S56 is much more of a better player/Pro iron. They need something in that middle ground and I would be amazed if they didn't.

Sit tight for a while. I'm looking at some Vokeys but the new ones are out n November..

Out of date? what gives you that idea? clubs are really current for up to ten years these days as technology has really started to peak and quirks are being added, not accuracy.

Why change ,its the biggest mistake i ever made ,got to single figures 2 years ago then changed my irons now of 12 sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side i should know ,i've changed my clubs more times than the weather.

buy whatever you want, go with your gut, if you want titleist then get them and vice versa

do not buy based on an hour up a range as personally you could be having a good/bad day and one stands out over the other

Have had the G20s for 4 rounds now
have got progressively better with each round
Today shot 6 over gross in the medal, and left 8 putts on the lip/edge
Cant't praise them highly enough

I20 is due out in the States around about November time I believe. I'm told it should be around about March 2012 in GB.

Hang off if you can, I believe this will be more like the S56 range than the I15. I'm also looking to go down the I20 route, treat myself to more Ping gear, just what my game requires.
