Your Swing speed?

So where are all the 300 yard hitters and their 125mph swing speeds? Suddenly gone very quiet! ;)

Interestingly enough, I've noticed that slowing my swing speed down will often send the ball further. Perhaps it's better timing, perhaps I'm finding the sweetspot through a more controlled swing, perhaps I'm not putting as much vertical or horizontal spin on the ball. Maybe it's all of the above.

But to those feeling a little 'small' in this department shouldn't worry too much. Perhaps you are 20 yards shorter than some off the tee, but being on the short stuff rather than in the bundu is a huge benefit. Faster swing speeds come over time. Far better to be in control and play your own game and slowly build up to the 125 mph, 300 yard hitters that proliferate this site. :D

As it happens. I haven't got a clue what mine is.

On the read out for my driver Cf last June, my swing speed for the driver was 116, dispersion was shite though.
Don't know what it was for my irons. I have the data, will dig out later.
I have now slowed down a little to gain controlwith the driver so I think there may be another Cf driver fitting this year. Will see if I can get a titleist fitting for nowt :D

Brendy,
I was CF just before christmas for my i15's and i had similar speed to you.....My Driver speed was averaging aroung 104,106mph..... I was fitted for Pings standard stiff flex shafts in my woods and Driver..

I cant remember my swing speed with the 7 iron that i was hitting but my average carry was 168 yards whatever that equates to in ball speed and swing speed i cant rightly remember but i have Pings AWT Stiff shafts in the Irons.
