Thought it we be interesting to start a thread to see what everyone's seasons highlights were.

So I will start it of with mine, interestingly none on my own course.

Right at the top is my trip to the highlands culminating in a round at Royal Dornoch , started of at Fortrose where Patrick 148 kindly joined me for a round (thanks again Patrick) also played Tain,Brora, and Golspie. It was a real pleasure to play these courses and the people I meet could not have better, also twice when I played as a single I was invited to play through on every occasion .

Next was playing a senior open at Hoylte golf club in Sussex, a club set in beautiful countryside , it is only a short course with tree lined fairways ,quite tricky but a real joy to play,it also has one of best par 3s I have played ,simply stunning.

I will also add it was the friendliest club I have ever had the pleasure of playing.

Last but not least was my first forum meet at Cooden, grand job Smiffy does for organising such a good day out, made the day even better by scoring 20 points on the back 9 in the afternoon , but outshone by my brother ( Golfmmad) getting 46 points in the morning.

So what is everyone else's highlights for the season?

H4H weekend Sunday through to the Tuesday

Is just ahead of playing - Marquess , Stoke Park , Berkshire and the Grove in one week

The forum trip to my place, Castle Stuart and Royal Dornoch was my season highlight.

I met up with some new and old faces from the forum and had a great laugh along the way. Saw some strange sights that weekend but none more so than Steve in a full kilt playing Dornoch.

Played some good and some bad golf this year and getting the handicap down to six was a bonus, now have a target of cat 1 for next season.

Was expecting H4H day would be right up there, it's interesting to note that all the courses I mentioned I never had a really good round nothing to bad just average I suppose, so it just goes to show you don't have to play your best to get the most enjoyment out of the game.

Been a pretty special year for me.........trying to remember them in chronological order:

KOK final at Hillside and playing Wallasey the day before.

Runner up in the Club Scratch Championship, frustratingly losing on the last hole.

Won the Club "Open" competition

Won a couple of charity days/member guest days

Winning the FedEx Challenge Trophy at Royal Lytham and the entire weekend and brilliant hospitality at Hoylake, Fairhaven and Pleasington from some very special Forumites.

Playing against the Battleback Golf team at Centurion...inspirational

Won the club OOM championship

2nd place in the Club Swindle OOM

All the meets I've been on with Forum members home and away....

Attending day 1 at Gleneagles to witness my first live Ryder Cup

The entire HFH experience and being part of such a fantastic forum who make all the hard work and stress worthwhile...Blackmoor, North Hants, Tidworth, the Tin Hut and Tedworth House.............And of course StuC

The Benross Be Our Tour Pro experience and winning the team prize.

Been a year I'll never forget.....

Wow that's an impressive list well done.

Btw glad you got picked for the Benross day

Been a good year if I excuse the quality of my golf!

Silloth and Southerners weekend was really enjoyable

Inverness trip was incredible for the golf courses, company and weather

Raised a load of money doing the Longest Day with Birchy, Qwerty and Junior (thanks again to those gents and all who donated

Won a medal in my first year at new club

Help 4 Heroes weekend was great including my first trip to Beau Desert on the way back

Playing Wallasey for the first time this weekend.

Actual golf-wise the highlight so far was the day before H4H, playing at Cuddington and shooting 1 under gross for the back 9.
North Hants was brilliant, the whole H4H thang was, as ever, a blast -- including the Curry Night...
I tend to play my best golf from September to December, the game is pretty steady at the moment so hoping some decent scores come along to round off the year.
No wins, in fact a whole bunch of .1's but haven't been able to play many qualifiers this year for one reason or another.
As ever, a couple of poor shots and/or bad luck have blown my scores this year but a worst round of 85 is still better than many will ever achieve so its important to keep some perspective.
Quietly confident for next year.......

I've hardly played this year, so,highlights are few and far between. A 76 in a Wednesday medal and a .4 cut was the highlight of the comps I played.

The real highlight was H4H, though. A couple of days of great company, cracking weather and lovely courses. The golf had its moments but that didn't matter, really. I'll definitely be back next year, if Rick and/or Rich ever get their fingers out and organise the next one...

6 days of golf, starting on the 25th Sep with a round with my dad, lovely day, nice and relaxed in a buggy, good natter, not even thinking about golf, oddly enough, through a cracking weekend with rounds at Welwyn with ArnoldArmChewer, then Blackmoor with Rick, Rich, LiverpoolPhil, PokerJoke, Paperboy to name new forumers I met for the first time, Monday H4H day and topped off with a round at Tidworth Garrison GC and tour of the H4H tin hut and Tedworth House.

Just a brilliant 6 days of golf, great weather and great company.

3 down with 4 to play in the club match play 2nd round and won on the 19th

Getting picked for Mizuno Irons experience

Playing with my Dad for the first time in over a year after his kidney operation

last time out scoring 41 points coming 2nd and getting 2 shots off my handicap

1st ever handicap cut, got down to 15 at one point, won my 1st medal, had my 1st hole in one and had my lowest ever score of 78.

Also won the KoK qualifier in St Andrews and also played the Ailsa at Turnberry and Hillside at the KoK finals day.

Pretty good year for me.

I've not golfed much, best score of the year is 2 over par which I've done 3 times, best one was probably at the forum meet at Cooden as it was in great company and I 'left a few out there'.

Doing the forum meet at Gainsbourgh (4 rounds over 3 days) is such a good laugh it'll probably be my season highlight for NEXT year.

Oops... won some silverware for the first time in 22yrs which is staring at me from the dresser :p That's right up there too!!

A hole in one that I got in a beat the pro comp on the Edinburgh course at Wentworth in a charity golf day playing with a good friend and Herschelle Gibbs.

also playing golf with the Battleback golfers like RickG said was inspirational

Breaking 80 for the first time with a 73.
Hitting a gross 81 on St Andrews Jubilee on Father's Day.
Being at the Ryder Cup.
A glorious 5 iron that I intentionally faded to 3 feet of the pin on the 14th St Mikes.
A drawing 7 iron to play against the left to right wind from behind an oak tree on the 17th Dukes to hit the green.
A 60 yard lob wedge slam dunk for eagle 2.
Sinking a pressure 10 foot putt to win a foursomes tie on the 21st hole.
Meeting more people because of a stupid game called golf.

And other than that I had to play a lot of rubbish golf to get these few hilights. Love it!

Despite waiting to go into hospital for a knee replacement, i've managed to get back into cat 1 and season finished last Saturday. Very pleased to finish on 5.2. Very well done to RickG, what a season m8

First season at a club.

Had a hole in one, in my 6th medal.

Came back from 4 down after 13 to beat a 12 handicapper.

Shot a 78 in a bounce game (on a par 65 course).

Won over £200 in prize money. For my hole in one, a magic 2 - 5 week rollover, and a 2nd and a 3rd place.

Bad points - I've only made buffer twice in competition, and my handicap has went up 2 full shots.
