Your Putter

Sitting on the subs bench are

Ping Anser 2 circa 1982 - 34 inches
Odyssey dualforce 554 - 34 inches
Odyssey 2 ball blade - 35 inches
TM Spider original version - 35 inches

I did have another 3 in various guises but got rid

Using the Bettinardi BC3 at the moment. Absolutely brilliant. Had 30 putts yesterday so it is working well at the moment. Santa brought me it last Christmas :D

Odyssey White Hot 2 ball. Bought it on Friday for £99 with headcover.
Faffed around for ages looking at putters as I just couldn't get on with my TM Monte Carlo (centre shafted)
Played over the weekend and have seen a marked improvement in my putting. Well suited with it.

I was looking at a lot putters in AG the other day and it seemed to me that most of the Odyssey's sat funny - either open or closed. None of them sat straight. That would putme right off. Some of the TM ones did the same, even some Pings were off.

Flog 'em off and get a C/F putter!!!

Prosimmon pile of poo £6.99 from Amazon. :o :o :o

It's all I could afford at the time and it gets me on the course.

I'm saving up the pennies for something at least half decent. Boy would I love a nice spanking Ping B60.

Sorry , but I like my putter to look at least a little like a putter, not like some science fiction cattle prod.

My "main" putter is my MD Aladdin which I got on really well with first few times out. I also have a "Yes" Tracy sitting in the cupboard under the stairs, never been used but feels pretty good.

My putting has not been brilliant recently, had far too many 3 putts for my liking and I've been tempted to swap over but will persevere for a little longer with the MD as I'm putting it down to playing on slow greens at the moment which I hate. Have got a game later on this afternoon at Cooden where the greens are normally quite nippy. See how I get on there before rushing into a decision... ;)

Main & usual putter is my 'YES Tracy', cost me £99, but think it may temporarilly make way for one of my others for a week or two, as Tracy has been missbehaving. Or more to the point my putting stroke has been misbehaving, but either way, a change is as good as a rest & I need to change & Tracy will rest.

I've got a B60, but not sure whether or not I'm really that mad keen on it. But may put that in the bag, or another Ping, or perhaps something else may wend its way into the bag. Its just as well I'm brassic, as I have been very tempted by a TM Rossa Itzy Bitzy & its brother recently & the fact I can't really afford any new equipment means I can resist temptation much easier.

Pretty happy with my Taylormade Fontana but have a faithfull Benross Pure Red waiting in the wings if necessary.

The only other putter to catch my eye recently is the Scotty Fastback but to be honest it cost nearly as much as my whole set of irons and could not justify that sort of expense.

Got the TM Spider, paid £140 for it. (our pro won't discount)

Loved it at first, but going off it a bit now. Played yesterday and my putting was wofull.
Paid £120 for mine.

Love it for anything around 10-15 foot, anything longer I am struggling with distance control at the minute.

Only one I have Ping B60, without an insert

Only one I've seen that I like the feel of, Fisher CTS-9. Not too unlike a B60 to look at but heavier, could be a good bad weather alternative.

I have a Ping Karsten Zing £69 which is great for the shorter length puts but I have been struggling with puts from distance. Tried the TM Itsy Bitsy and loved the roll I was getting but with HID out of work in August its not an option at the moment. :( :(
