I'd say the best part of my game is off the tee and putting, and without doubt the worst is from 100yds in.

The times I have 40-90yds left for my approach and end up feeling fortunate that I've made par is shocking!

I did say my game varies week by week but today was a bit extreme, I previously said my irons were my strong point but other than a couple of corkers I might aswell have hit it with my brolly. Yet I hit every drive absolutely perfect, straight and long didn't miss a fairway and the putting was spot on, didn't 3 putt at all or leave any long putts more than 3ft away. I must admit I did buy a new putter this morning on a whim I must be mad there was nothing wrong with the old one.

It's all relative though, I bet your 'bad' putting is as good or better than my 'good' putting.

I think as amatuers we can be good at everything on our day! its all about consistency!
