still struggling to see the funny side or irony of yesterday evening's events although workmates seem to find them amusing.

been on the lookout for a mizuno mx700 3wood for a while and managed last week to pick one up from a pro, upgraded shaft etc etc.

had it delivered to work yesterday and had a brief look, looked in excellent nick, better than i'd expected. got home and soon as i put key in lock, realised i'd left it on the train.

i'm only two stops from the end of the line so jumped in car and drove to station. train had already gone back up the line and no sign of the club.

driving back home, raging hump with myself i passed my course. out the corner of my eye saw a ball bouncing down the road which hits my bonnet full on before bouncing over roof.

so i'm £70 down unless the club turns up although i'm not holding my breath and facing a repair bill for a big golf ball shaped dent in my bonnet.

not my finest hour...

Had many non golf days related days like that.

One is getting lost in my car, going down a road I thought was 50 but turned out it was 40 and I was tootling around 40ish looking for a way back rather than looking at my speed. I did rectify it very quickly as I saw speed camera signs. Thankfully either the speed camera wasnt working or I was going slow enough as I didnt get anything.

I had taken 2 wrong turns before that and I was in a rush anyway!

Anyway good luck with the club and search online for dent repairs, youtube vids help a lot!

Couldnt you of stopped the car and jumped over the fence to find who had hit the ball? .....you never know, he might have even had your 3 wood! :D

not far,

chartham park between east grinstead and lingfield.

must have been a snap hook off the driving range which hit a tree. sort of shot i'd hit myself tbh !
