Doesn't seem that long since I posted a rant about Yodel basically being crap and lying about a delivery...
Well, they have done it again.
I ordered a load of items from one firm, didn't know it was Yodel they used, and paid for Next day delivery.
That was Wednesday of last week. The company sent me an email on Wednesday afternoon to say it had been dispatched.

Nothing, nearly a week later and numerous attempts to chase proved fruitless as the company couldn't get Yodel to answer the questions.
Finally, they say they tried to deliver at 1556 on Thursday 17th but they couldn't as the gates were locked and they couldn't get in...
Hmm. Ok, so lets review the reality. I was in all day on the 17th and 3 other companies delivered to me no problem..
Oh and I don't have any gates to be locked...

Yodel already have my vote for crap customer experience of 2013...

Please all, be wary of these jokers.

I've got to the point that whenever I am ordering anything that is being couriered I ask who will be doing the delivery. If Yodel is mentioned then I will ask for another company and if that is not possible then will not proceed with the order.

I have actually paid more for an item to ensure it was delivered by someone else just to ensure that these jokers aren't given yet another chance to not deliver something then lie about it......

They always have problems with me because for some reason no one has been able to explain to me, my official address does not include my street name, and I just have a house name. And as I live down a farm track with only one house near me, Yodel never ever find me.

They seem not to be equipped with phones or sat navs, so they always claim they tried but never deliver anything.

......they always claim they tried but never deliver anything.

This is what bothers me most....incompetence is one thing but bare faced lying is quite another. The times I've been sat in all day, decide to track an item and it says that delivery was attempted but no one was home!

I also live on a farm track. But last problem, they said the driver's satnav showed he was "in the area"...

Yep. They are rubbish. Had the same problem several times. They also left with a neighbour once. Problem with that was the neighbour they choose was in the next street. A 2-3 minute walk away. Useless.

Not experienced poor service.

Last Xmas they delivered my sports direct orders which were free delivery but arrived next day. Same thing happened this week with two orders from morrisons wine cellar.

Maybe it's a regional thing with rubbish local delivery guys

Thing is Dave, if it had just been a failure to deliver I wouldn't be so down on them and would just re-book. It's the fact that twice now they have blatantly lied about things. First time, not so long ago, they said they had delivered an item and that I had signed for it when I was at work but couldn't supply me proof of delivery (i.e the signature) and this time they apparently couldn't get past the gates that I don't have on a day when I was at home and don't recall seeing [a Yodel van]or hearing a van other than the companies that DID deliver that day.

I have a similar thing going on a the moment with citylink, they lied when they said they tried to deliver, but on there website the only option I have to get my parcel is to go and pick it up myself or return to sender
