Played one at my course yesterday. 4 players,3 to score on each hole.
Yellow ball counts double on each hole, and it rotates hole to hole. We were ticking along nicely, when one of my team mates hits the yellow ball OOB on 17... But we found the ball, so presumed we could still use it on the last hole. I had the ball on the 18th (nice pressure) and parred the last, for 4 points (double stableford score yellow ball). 153 points for the team, which placed us top (I was happy individually, because I shot a 75). Get a phone call later on in the evening... My par on the last only counted for 2 points because we lost the yellow ball on 17 (even though we found it) So we finished with 151. Crap way to find out. Wish they made the rules clearer, they said lost yellow ball means no more double points, not just OOB.

Ho hum. Live and learn.

Very starnge that the yellow ball didn;t finish on 16 either. whenever I've played it, it rotates so that all players have the yellow ball 4 times, then the last two holes are free for alls.

As you know mate i payed in this comp myself.
Good score by the way.
How did they know your ball was OOB,surely your score on 17 would have been an NR for the yellow ball,
and the other 3 scores would have counted.
As you say the rules were vague.
I would have done the same.

We were talking about it in the bar afterwards. Someone must have said something, which is fair enough, it wouldn't have been fair had we won outside the rules. But wish I'd have known before going home thinking we'd won. What did your team shoot?

That would have been one of the better scores. 144 was par. How often would 4 people play well at the same time? I'm playing with you next week in the 4bbb aren't I?
