Xbox or PS?

Was an xbox fan since the original but jumped ship after two 360's red ringed, went for the ps4 last year and don't regret it, it's a very slick machine. I guess it's just down to which brand you prefer and which console offers the games you want, should they be only available on that console.
As an aside, I was talking to a fellow gamer last night, he owns an xbox one and said something about an EA pass which you pay £20 a year for but allows you to download all the previous games in their catalogue. I haven't looked into it but it did make me hugely jealous if it's true.

Ive also lost 2 xbox 360s to the 'ring of death so have ordered my 5yr old a PS4 for Xmas; got a good deal at £200.

i for one can't wait to get it set-up on Christmas Day!

I've had an Xbox 360 from Launch, and only ever had 1 red-ring-of-death. I'm well and truely in the Xbox camp. I love the interface, I love Xbox Live, and with a distinct lack of good console-specific titles they're the things that matter. Xbox all day for me.

Take this a little further the xbox is definitely on santa list now there is a debate to be had about the interactive games. The little lad cant decide between Disney infinity and Lego dimensions, we have tried Infinity in Game on a demo weekend but not Lego anyone got it?

Lego Dimensions is a better game. It's more interactive and obviously fits with all your usual Lego sets. Just beware that, like Lego, it can get very expensive if you want all the additional sets and add-ons.

I've never owned or played a games console - so I'm out.

Got a ps1 given, aquired a ps2 never really bothered over either. Quite like spiro. Men In Black has defeated my many attempts to get beyond playing it for more than two minutes before being killed and having to start again. I try it now and again just to see if it will let me go beyond this point out of sympathy, but it never does. My lads like 'em though. Grandson wants Xbox for xmas. Enjoyed my first go on a Wii on holiday.

I had an Xbox 360 when they first came out but it died a few years back. Treated myself to an Xbox One last week and it's brilliant! Wish I'd have got one sooner.

As of next week there will be some backwards compatibility with 360 games. About 100 will work to start with but more will follow later

So I, or should I say Santa, settled on an Xbox one with Fifa16, Forza6, Rory McIlroy PGA Tour and Minecraft...

Once I got the initial set up organised with logins etc it was smooth running and simple enough for my boy to switch on get playing.

The graphics are fantastic and as I used to play a PS2 the step up is very noticeable. Look for to my boy going to bed at night so I can have a shot of the golf game. :D

Yes, errr, Santa visited and gave my boy FIFA 16 for the PS4...except we don't have one. He was gutted...until Santa kindly gave us a PS4 with the last pressie! I, sorry, Santa, also gave me The Last of Us and Unchartered. Heard they are both very good.

Last Of Us is brilliant, only finished the first chapter so far though. Star Wars is on offer in the PS store until! January I think, got it the other day and it's great.

Last of Us is one of the all time greats, love it. I am playing Star Wars on the Xbox and Fallout 4 on the PS4

Got an Xbox One from Santa too. Loving Rory McIlroy. Enjoying a challenge. Playing on Pro, and actually finding it difficult to make birdies, which makes a difference from TW14 where I could shoot 61 at will and had to try to make pars. Enjoying FIFA and Just Cause 3 too, but not had much of a chance to get much play out of it yet. EA Access is worth a look too. My Xbox came with a free month trial and it's great for downloading the back catalogue of EA Titles. I've already downloaded EA Sports UFC and will be downloading a Battlefield title or two and a Madden and NBA game too. Pretty decent for £3 a month too.
