why use a driver at all when beginning to play. yes, times and golf equipment in particular have changed a lot since i started the game, but i didnt possess a wooden club (yes, they were made of wood back then) until i was playing off 20

Think I have an R9 in a cupboard at home, he can have it for the price of shipping if he wants it (and it is really there :D).

That's a very generous offer thanks  I'm just waiting to hear back from SteveJay on his Rapture. My only worry with the R9 is the level of forgiveness for him as a newbie... is it OK for me to get back to you over the weekend?

Bernix I started without a driver so understand the logic but he really wants one (we all love swinging a big dog!)
