Wrong Ball Question

Just curious on this one please

you hit ur tee shot into a bush , get to the bush look for 2 mins & see the ball, and decide to hack it out onto fairway ,

You get to fairway and realise its not ur ball ,

2 SHOT PEN WRONG BALL .. (OK?)

You go back to bush to look for your ball but cant find it , so now its LOST BALL (OK?), so back to where you played the shot into the bush,ie the tee .. (OK?) now the questions please.. .

(1) What shot are u now playing off tee as you have incured 2 penalties is it 5 off the tee ?




(2) When u went back to bush to look for ball did you have the 3 remaining minutes to search or does the 5 start again ?

Yes, your shot from the tee will be your 5th stroke:
Teeshot = 1
Play wrong ball = 2 pen strokes
lost ball = 1 pen stroke
next shot from tee = 5th Stroke

You have 3 minutes remaining for your search. See Decision 27/2
