For those that use wrap grips, how do you fair in the wet? Is there a particular wrap grip you can recommend? Gamola have 15% off today so may take the opportunity to regrip my entire set.

I like the look of the Winn pro and dri-tac wraps but the only thing holding me back is the niggling thought of their capability in the wet.

Also keen on the Pure P2 wraps...

Cheers

Some/most wrap grips (Golf Pride 2g for example) are absolute garbage in the wet.

I used to play a Golf Pride Tour Wrap BCT Full Cord grip and found it more than adequate in the wet.

I've just fitted my wedges with the Dri-Tac lite grips today and will try them tomorrow, I've also got the Pure P2's but not fitted them as yet. But I do have the Gripmaster Stitchback from Core Golf on all my woods and hybrids and are fantastically tacky in all weathers as it's made out of cowhide leather. But they are £18 a pop, too much to grip whole set of irons but worth it for the higher swing speed on woods tho.

Never got on with wrap grips. Just don't feel right and were shocking in the wet. However this was a good few years back, but nothing really excites me about getting another set. Be interested to see how these go for you though

I will let you know, going to be windy tomorrow so they say, but as soon as the rain comes..........

i forgot to mention this will be my first time using wrap grips too.

fortunately for me no, and unfortunately for you, no. But as soon as I do I will let you know.

Cheers mate. I've just ordered a Royal V Sand Wrap grip to try in the meantime. The leather Gripmaster wraps you have, are they decent in wet weather?

Yes, very tacky. In fact when on a day like today if I find the grip to not be as tacky I'll lick my right hand fingers :mmm: then rub and twist round the grip and it becomes tacky again. Like I said earlier all my woods have the gripmasters on them.
