Sat at home, bored out of my mind.
Really wanted to play the junior open today at my home club. Thought I had a chance as well, been shooting a couple of sub 80 rounds recently.
But no, my clubs are in a car on the way to Aberdeen. Staying there for a few days and then heading over to st.andrews where I play the jubilee course with the head pro there - can't wait.

Anyone played the jubilee course ? I've heard it's a toughy.

Plus, anyone ever been to ballater golf club ? Staying very close to it, and hoping its a good'n

Discounting The Church course, which is silly tough - apparently only lacking a windmill and clown on some of the greens - Jubilee is the toughest of the 'main' courses (from normal tees).

Played it once and certainly found it that way, but a little 'scruffy' compared to the New, which is my favourite of them all.

Castle Course ?

Not played the Jubilee but have heard good reports, and that it is tough. New Course was in stunning condition when we played there last October, best links greens I have putted on.

Played it ( Ballater)a few years ago, only remember i quite enjoyed it,not much help i know but what can you do.

Might be wasted on you Gordon.:ears: At least you will not have to chip much, and can putt instead.;)

Oi sunny Jim, I'll have you know I taught Lee Westwood everything he knows about his crap short game

When you play a great course once, you should still remember every hole.

No matter how long ago it was, or how many other courses you've played?

I played the Old Course > 20 years ago; I remember about three holes.... vaguely! Strongest memory is getting told off over the tannoy by the starter for taking a practice swing on the first tee.
