Would your golf club be ok with this?

So I'm getting married in just under 4 weeks, and want to play a round with some friends/family the day before. There's a number who don't play but would like to walk round to keep us company and to make it an enjoyable day.
In total there would be two 3 balls with 3/4 people not playing but walking around with us.

Would your club be ok with playing visitors and walkers? I only ask as I've enquired at one club (who shall remain nameless) who basically told me to bugger off!

My mrs walks around with me quite often. No one bothers much. Most people know each other round my course anyway as it's a small community.

I've also seen a sign recently that said no walkers allowed, even caddies.

I'd guess (but not sure) that it would be something to do with a green fee including insurance, therefore the walkers wouldn't be covered if anything bad happened.

Thanks guys. I've had the mrs walk around with me before, I was just more concerned that this would be a larger group.

I have contacted another course nearby to find out their stance.

My place wouldn't have any issues I'd hope. I would just remind non-players who perhaps haven't been on a golf course before of some simple dos and don'ts about being aware of folk playing on adjacent holes.

Seen a sign like that as well at Elton Furze, strictly nobody on the course not playing golf. I am not sure how my club would react. I see plenty of people walking the course in the evenings so clearly not a problem then but I can see it being an issue with some if there were people walking the course on a busy day at the weekend.
