Many years ago, we were messing about on the Hotchkin practise putting green after a match and a few beers when I was conned into a bet with a 4-handicapper from my own team. He bet he could hit a ball 250 yards up the first fairway with his putter and hit the fairway.
I lost.

I had to do this on a company texas scramble fun day. You had to tee off with the putter and putt with the driver on one of the par 3's. Managed to walk off with a 4 sunk a 15 foot putt with my driver.

Definitely putt with the driver. I have done this loads of times, mainly due to broken or lost putters.

I would not drive with my putter, as the head has only just been glued back on.

Tip for the day, don't keep leaning on your putter when retrieving the ball from the hole.

Murph, you like me need a sucker for the end of your putter shall we look for a 2 4 1 deal?

I had my second best round of the year when I was late on the tee and left my putter in the locker, putted 17 holes with a rescue club + 1 belly wedge, awesome!!

Did try putting with my driver once - had been putting in the house and left the putter at home. Only tried it for two holes before switching to the hybrid though, which turned out to be a very adept substitute had quite a few single puts (some long ones too - hit and hope).
