Would this encourage you to join a club?

Heard an ad on the radio last night for Edenmore Golf Club here in Norn Iron. It said that anyone joining now would receive a free set of clubs...and not just any old clubs either - they're Taylor Made. Is this the sort of thing clubs will have to offer to attract new members these days?

take what ever the value of the clubs are off the membership fee (surely TM aint supplying them for free)...

Offer down here on bicycles . buy one get one free .. eh sell the 1st one half price ya mite get more sales /..

Been doing similar 'deals' for a while. I remember that they were doing a 'free' driver and the pro was giving 'free' lessons to 'teach you how to use it'. A few of my friends looked at the course to try it out but decided to go to Spa instead - tho tbh its not that bad ~IMHO. Just like all business they are struggling simple as.
