Woods playing in the Tavistock Cup

Tiger Woods is not the only one though, I see Gmac is wearing his Srixon hat and Ernie Els is wearing his Callaway hat.

Ah, my apologies then. Didn't catch a lot of the coverage and of the coverage I saw, TW was the only one I noticed. Probaly because they weren't team colours. The one he's wearing today is more in keeping.

Poor old Tiger, can't do anything right these days. I actually think he suffers because the coverage from the States on him is immense. Those pictures of him leaving the course after the injury were so OTT, but he didn't ask for that, far from it, he hates the attention. Instead people get wound up because when we want to watch the WGC we get to see him driving his car. No one wins.

That sums it up perfectly. I don't hate Tiger, I hate the OTT coverage he gets...But that's not his fault.

Feeling a little sorry for Tiger at present... He's been betrayed yet again... If you wish to write a book about yourself... Fine, no problem... But if you can't do it without betraying confidences... Don't bother...

Some things get said between two people that are not meant for sharing... So why do the likes of Haney/Harmon feel the need to tell the world of these conversations??? Is it because their boring little lives ain't worth a book without these asides???

No wonder Tiger gets the pip with some of his past 'entourage' at times... Guessing he's paid them a pretty penny for their services... So why the need to dump on him???

They are entitled to write a book, and make some cash. You think politicians don't do this, or actors? Heck, loads of people associated with the famous write books, it goes with the territory.

There are always going to be books written. He is too big a story to ignore and so there will be a load of these unauthorsied biofraphies and in Haney's case "the Tiger I know" which in my mind is just pimping his association with Woods to make a quick buck. No story so why not invent a few

You forgot to mention the page three slappers that bed themselves a celeb or three then sell the story of their 'jet set' lifestyles... Prostitutes the lot of them...

If something is said as part of a personal conversation... Then that is what it is... A personal conversation... Not for anyone else's ears/eyes...

They interviewed Woods after his round, and he explained why he pulled out of the previous comp (no, it was never a serious injury, and yes, he pulled out to save himself for the Masters). It is pretty much the first time he has ever acted sensibly, and not carried on with an injury, and as a result he has bounced back quickly. I guess if it had been a major he would have carried on, but it wasn't, so he quit.

As far as I am aware, Woods has never pulled out of a tournamet because he was playing badly. Unlike say, Michelle Wie, who was in damger of losing her card if she continued and completed her round, so she through a sicky.

If the Woods bashers ever get a genuine chance to have a pop at Tiger, fair enough, but inventing conspiracies wears thin after a while. Why not let his golf do the talking, and if he fails miserably, I'm sure he'll shuffle off into the sun set. Just don't hold your breath waiting.

Well said Murph

May be this is where a confidentiality agreement comes in? Break it, you get sued, by all the big time lawyers tigger can afford. If he didn't ask for this, and he should have, then expect beans to be spilled. Trust no one, it goes with being famous.

Oh, and I guess the tarts were paid off.

Jason Sobel talks a lot of sense in his article today ... http://www.golfchannel.com/news/jason-sobel/tiger-tavistock-2012/

His conclusion at the end is quite right. ...

"Chances are, whichever theory you believed in regard to Woods’ injury, that idea was buoyed by Monday’s activity. Either he appeared perfectly healthy because you think he was never hurt in the first place or because you think he did the proper thing in receiving early treatment and getting it diagnosed rather than continue playing."

Can't believe he's recovered from his fake I'm playing crap injury already!
I did my Achilles in and it took me a month to get back to walking normally,I dislike him more and more every day.

why would you do that though,he would of still finished in a respectful position and earned a good few quid.

So cast yourself back to your injury and imagine you'd been out for several months. You'd just got back to playing some decent golf and you had a week away playing golf with the lads coming up in the next few weeks followed by the club championship. You've been really looking forward to these and are a bit relieved you're starting to play some golf in time.

You're playing in the monthly medal and you start to feel a twinge in your achilles which you've just recovered from. Do you continue to play and risk missing the next month of golf including your week away or are you cautious and retire to avoid further injury and go and get it checked out? I know what I'd do.

so much love for woods! makes a change
if i had felt a twinge yes i would asses it,what i would have not done is wince like i had just torn it again.as i said before drama queen!
