At 6'10" my clubs are 1.25" longer and 2degree upright. It isnt always down to how tall you are, you have to take into consideration the length of your arms as well. The CF is then made up around all the factors identified by the club fitter.
I think you have to trust what you are being told if you trust the fitter.
I would also go along with what others have said if you are unsure and get your swing checked out by a good pro.

I agree, arm length is equally important. At my last fitting I was fitted as standard despite the fact that I am nearly 6'2"
