wood and hybrid

Fragger uses the 5 wood to great effect. I've had a hit with it and it's very easy to use. Can't vouch for the hybrid but if its anything like the fairway you wont go far wrong with it.

thanks, the 5 wood is 18* but the hybrid comes 17* 19* 22* 25*and regular, senior and stiff shafts?

what do you guys recommend to go with the 18* 5 wood. cheers

Really depends on what you currently have in your bag. Do you have a 3 wood? What's your highest (lowest number) iron? And hoe many wedges do you have at the other end of your bag - which is actually the scoring end! If you don't currently hit Fairways off the tee, then the 5W could help in that area (3 can be troublesome) and if the highest iron is a 5, then the 22H is probably the one to go for. Otherwise, you probably have a couple of either/ors! And then distances for the Par 3s that you normally play can come into the mix. You could go 17H and 22H also! Shaft flex really depends on your swing type. Not easy to suggest without seeing - and proper fitting is generally best anyway! What club do you use to hit 150yds? Do you swing fast/quick tempo or slow/smooth tempo? Which side do you miss most? Left or Right and by a little or a lot? And is it hooky/slidey or straight pull/push? What irons are you currently playing? Do they feel right for you?

i know what yo mean about trying clubs but it's online deal so just gonnna wing it really.

i hit the fairway regular to be honest, it's just my third shot i'm usually on a 9 iron, i'd much prefer to be on a wedge.

i have 4-sw in the bag and a 15* wood but i'm gonna take it out because i can't get it in the air.

generally swing pretty fast. for 150 yards i reckon maybe 6/7.

my shots usually end up more to the right of fairways

I have the 3 wood and 19 degree hybrid and find both very good for my 18 handicap. The hybrid head is quite small which you may find of putting, but once warmed up I middle it all the time.

I went to a fitting for my iron set, then the guy started to bring out shoes bags and all sorts haha so half playing it safe. I wasn't keen on hybrids but I took a few shots on my mates and distance compared to my 4 or my old wood is enough to edge me to give them a punt

If you struggle with your 3 wood then a 5 wood sounds like a good choice as you should find it easier to get airborne, and even if you struggle wtth that off the fairway a hybrid should be easier to hit off the ground, hope the go well for you

Cheers was out today, my mate gave me his old taylormade wood to use in mean time. Think it was r5, trying to steal it off him haha
