Wiping your ball

Ive got a small old towel that I tuck into the front of my trousers. You've always got the thing with you then and dont have to wander off to find your bag towel. Dont see how it makes me look a plonker though (couldnt care less even if it does , bigger things to worry about than how I look on a golf course). Always have a clean ball and it stops the trousers getting muddy so the missus doesnt have to wash them after one wear.

Seems to make perfect sense to me :D

I use the green, the flag, fingers, someone else's towel, what ever, but would never carry one tucked into my belt. That is not a good look.

Added to which, the Titleist golf towel is HUGE, and I would trip over it.

I tend to keep a little face cloth in my back pocket or tucked into the back of my waterproofs.

I've never given it a seconds thought what i look like. I'd guess that it's a whoel lot better than someone with mud splattered all over their trousers! :p

I guess it takes it all sorts in this life to make it what it is. I like to turn out clean and tidy , but at this time of year I wear waterproofs over my trousers and use the towel for ball cleaning. I dont want to get mud over any part of my trousers cos that just looks awful in the bar afterwards. Rather get mud/grass/water all over a towel than over my clothes , then the wife doesnt have to wash trousers every time I play. Again , to me this just makes prefect sense

If mine isn't too bad I will just pop it in my pocket and roll it around a little.
If it is really, really muddy I will usually wait for one of my playing partners to walk past and try to wipe it on the back of their jumper without them knowing

I was going to write that!

I wipe the ball on my trousers/jumper. They're fine for the job until about May when they can probably do with a wash..... :o

I guess it's trousers tucked into socks under the waterproofs then, 'cos no matter what I do the bottoms of the trousers are still muddy at this time of year - and I draw the line at plus-fours.

I tend to tuck a beer towel into my belt if it's a wet day. I also have a couple hanging from my bag and one hanging from the handle of my trolley (which I'll run under the tap on a dry day).

And I tuck trousers into my socks if they're under my waterproofs.

I have been known to carry a small towel in the pocket of my waterproof trousers when its raining to give myself a dry towel for my hands. However since I got the umbrella holder for my GK I can keep a towel under there and so don't have a problem to dry my ball or my hands

Correct , I wear 2 pairs of socks at this time of year too and tuck trouser bottoms in between them. I guess some people wouldnt like that either ;)
