winter mats scuff underside of driver

You can't quote the fella who started the 'how tall are you thread', he's hardly the arbiter of what makes a good thread:D

Surely it's not a serious question!

What do you reckon the op should do with his driver??:D

My advice would be join a decent course that doesn't use mats

But surely that won't fix the root cause which is brushing the ground with his driver. If there is a stone in the grass near where he's hitting from the that will cause an even bigger mark on the sole of his driver. And this is from someone that regularly takes bigger divots with my driver than with my 8 iron.

Do you get backspin?!:D

Hahahahahahahahahaha. I love this place sometimes. Sheer madness.

And for me, the banter on this thread is spot on. Sometimes sensible answers are not what's needed, particularly to this question.

I take it that I'm the only one who thinks the OP is a wind up merchant? One of the better ones I'll admit. Just subtle enough to stay under the radar, but still a WUM. Every thread he starts is a little time bomb waiting to go off. Maybe I'm being cynical, but my season ended in May, so I'm allowed a little cynicism.

Marks from mats are a good thing. They illustrate the direction you are coming through the ball at.

Chill out and enjoy the marks. Clubs are made to get bashed and roughed up. Anyone who worries about club damage probably also thinks about what they are going to wear for a game of golf in a week's time. Man up.

At least mine got a response.. Next time try google buddy

I apologise for wanting to find out a bit more about our "community" it certainly won't happen again.

You had my award for thread of the year pal, until this one. So close to glory:rofl:

There's banter and then there is abuse and bullying, when it gets to the point where new members like myself are not comfortable posting anything for sake of being ridiculed that has crossed a line.

Anyway I thought this was friendly helpful place, but it is quite obvious that it's not...

Funny how when I ask my mates why don't they play golf, their reason is "golf is full of w*****s"... It's becoming apparently clear that they are right.

Mate I think you need to chill out a bit. It was all banter by the looks of it. And let's be honest, the original question did deserve a little bit of ribbing.
