I dropped into Dundonald yesterday and they are offering a winter golf package of £195 plus £15 per round from 1st October till 31st March. I have played this course a few times and IMO this is a steal.

Thats correct Murph and its a steal normally £50-70 a round played there last month and thought it was a reall good track and should be a good winter course.
Crail GC do it as well but its £150 and no fee per round and they have 2 cracking courses there, this course backs on to Kingsbarns basically so its right at the sea.
for those who don't put their clubs into hibernation under the stairs from November to March are in for treat with the next issue of GM - we have a special section with loads of winter tips, gear and info on some amazing winter green fee deals

That's it £195 up front and £15 per round. Dundonald is the Links course attached to Loch Lomond if you have not heard of it please check out the web site. It was designed by Kyle Phillips the same guy who done Kingsbarns where the Dunhill is being played at the moment. I would rate it in the top 10 courses I have played anywhere.

You'll be fine at that time of year. Also, they don't tend to come out in gale force winds!
