I play on a parkland course and at this time of year what type of ball would you guys recommend for a 5 handicapper ? The course is well drained for a parkland track .

Personally have gone away from a premium ball because it spins too much, am using AD333s whilst wet (although a NXT would do as well), basically a case of finding a non spinning ball that you feel comfy chipping and putting with

I agree that as a 5 handicapper you should have a fair idea what works and doesn't for your game by now. I think the AD333 or NXT will get a lot of votes but I have been using the TM Burner TP with very good results

How soft are your greens..?
If they're as soft as ours are, a premium ball will stop dead or suck back miles on approaches and chips - very hard to control.
I'm using Cally HX Hot/Diablo Tour at the moment. Still softish around the greens but you don't get the huge check spin, the ball rolls out a bit and I find it easier to judge.
To be honest, I'm using almost anything at the moment - played a good round with an o0ld TM Burner ball the other day....

NXT/NXT tours are pretty good, I picked up a Maxfli (tour ??, sorry not sure) but was surprised how good it was. I like a yellow ball in the cold/frost so will buy a few 333's or I think Bridgestone do a coloured ball, or even some yellow Z stars.
