Wine stopper

Any suggestions for a decent wine stopper for fizz 👍
Aluminium foil over the top works. Use a 6" x 6" square and poke the middle part into the top to the depth of a cork then tightly fold the rest down around the outside. It creates a dam of CO2 that stops too much effervescence continuing while it's in the fridge.

Don't use one of the vacuum pump things for fizz. Creating negative pressure will cause more effervescence and flatten it quicker.

Or get a proper champagne stopper that seals the bottle so you can store it in the fridge on its side.
 
I must be a pleb, I just screw the top back on (notwithstanding the above post...)
