Mrs Doons PC problem was softwear connected to W8.
She has uninstalled it and put 7 back on and its fine.

Very helpful techy guy said wait 6 months then put W8 back on.

Sounds like W8 has the normal plethora of teething problems. Still looking for a spares or repair pc with a W7 code if anyone has one kicking about?

I upgrade from W7 to W8 last week on my home PC and although everything is running fine I can't say I'm overly impressed with the new features as I find it a bit quirky especially email as I have to keep going back to the start screen to access it (I can't get the shortcut key on my Microsoft keyboard to open email). I can imagine it being a dream to run on a tablet but I'm not sure I can stick it using a keyboard so I may be going back to W7 pretty soon.
