After using prov1's and getting hooked ive looked at top end balls more recently. Most of my prov1's were lake balls so when it come to buying new balls a few weeks back i went with TM Burner TP's, generally im finding them quite hard and im not impressed even though im only 2 sleeves in.

in the spring i started finding a few DX2 soft wilsons, and i must say generally thought they were a bloody good ball. So when i was offered 2 dozen DX3 balls this week for 30.00 I took them.

my question is how do these compare against the prov1 and TP burners ive been using. and has anyone got any reviews on them. The only thing i noticed with the DX2 was that they scuffed easy if you was hard on them with a wedge, but general putting and chipping on the DX2 gave a lovely feel.

For the first half of the season I was using Pro V1s/V1Xs and Callaway tour ix and is. They ran out. I got my Dad a subscription to this fine mag and got 12 Wilson dx2 soft free. I've been using them since my 'elite' ball supply ran dry and I've played my best golf with them!!!

A net 72, 39 points in the monthly stableford and 43 points in the St Andrew foursomes mean that I'm sticking with them!

Big Fan of wilsons myself Oddsox.

I think that the difference is the DX2's are a two piece low compression distance ball and the DX3's are similar in feel(soft) but are a 3 piece designed for a bit more spin with the wedges and irons but still long off the tee.....30 notes for 24 is good value imho

I've championed the DX2's for quiet a while now and was contemplating getting some DX3's until I went to the local range and saw they had AD333's for 2 doz for£20.00 so I got them instead.

Draw boy that's a deal I paid thirty notes for 24 and that was free next day post. Like others in this thread I couldn't believe the feel of the dx2 .just hope the dx3 are as good I went fir them ad the more spin should help with harder greens (I hope)
