How on earth you can say Jack is the best golfer in the world, after coming second in 19 majors is beyond me.tiger
could'nt have lived with himself with a record like that, but
I must admit those statistics ARE impressive..

Winning 18 may have something to do with it.

Thinking about it. 18 major wins and 19 runner-ups, doesn't that spell it out??

Or am I missing something?

I think Brookie's response was somewhat tongue in cheek.
It's not until you look at the players Jack beat e.g. the 3 previously mentioned plus a certain Supermex with 4 majors that his record is really put into context.

Will Tiger beat the wins possibly - but 19 runner ups as well not a chance.

dangling a carrot at the end of a tunnel could get you killed, and as nothing to do with Tigers greatness..when Jack
ruled the world, there was just no competition around then.
hope its a pork pie hat you buy,

Thats just a few of the major and multi major winners that Jack saw off in his days. You not got a clue man.

I voted no. I can see Tiger winning perhaps another 1 maybe 2 but not enough to go past Jacks total. Unfortunately I think Tigers body wont support his natural swing and as he has adapted nothing feels right with him. I think everyone can see hes not the player he was and it doesnt look right watching him and seeing him suffer. Would rather he takes another year off and get properly fit and sorted with his game rather than rushing back. How ever I cannot see this happening and he will be gone with a ruined knee for good.

As for the best in the world at the moment I would go with Donald, I think if you had to rely on someone it would be him. Dont get me wrong I think McIlroy on his day would outplay him and could go way lower but he is also known for the big blow up in a tournament and can go the opposite way.

I can see him winning maybe one more major but don't really see him beating Jack's record. As Clarke proved you don't have to be a high flyer in the rankings to have a good week and at least Woods has the experience of winning should he get in contention again. It'll be interesting to see how his swing works out over the Winter and how he comes out next year
