Doesn't matter what happened prior to when the video started, victim could had cussed his mother or spat in his face.
The victim was a overweight 50 year old that wasn't going to get away if the officer in question gave chase...simple. There was no need whatsoever to unload 8 shots.

I agree in this instance there was no need to shoot the guy-none whatsoever, he deserves his murder charge and I'm not saying shoot first and ask questions later simply because the person was black, I'm only highlighting the stats the mayor gave. A police officer is going to be more wary of a black person than of a white simply because they commit more violent offences, therefor the law of averages says he's more likely to be attacked by a black than a white.
