Just been reading a review on the new blunt golf umbrella which the super caddy (mr Williams ) had a hand in the design . It's not got sharp corners which the claim can be used in force 11 wind up to 74 mph (like you would try to use an umbrella in that never mind play golf .
But the best part is its price.

£74. FOR AN UMBERELLA !!!!!!

Won't see many of these in golf bags me thinks

Judging by the number of players who shell out vast amounts on remote control leccy trolleys that ramble all over the place apart from the right direction, I guess someone will pay £74 for a brolly.

In fact, I've placed my money on which member will be one of the first.
And it's not me

Does it have a reefing system for winds over 50mph? If not I think the HSE should be informed as it might not conform to 'elf & safety legislation:rofl:.

I don't think it's that expensive.

My boss paid £40 for a standard dual canopy srixon one this week at a clubs pro shop, and generally a decent brolly is £30-40 depending where you shop.

So.... It's twice as expensive as the average price, but it only needs too last twice as long as a normal unit to pay for itself

I quite fancy one of them - for free!

My R11 umbrella is pretty good in the wind as it has some vents to let the wind escape.
Never used it on the course but great for keeping me dry when I forgot my coat during the week.

I've ordered 2!! Now I can play in force 22 winds (148mph!!) woohooooo

Just bought a titleist one to replace my ten year old macgregor. £32 every ten years is hardly breaking the bank. Can't justify more for a brolly. Not even I can do that.

Rick will get one though, possibly several in different colours to match his outfits.
