Why is it whenever a new post gets started about a website selling fake clubs the new user that is posting it always seems to have only the 1 post count from starting the thread yet never gets seen again

You'll probably find the person starting the post is something to do with the website and is just trying to get the web address out there so when the Google bots do the rounds they see it on various different websites and possibly give it a lift up the rankings. They don't care if they say bad things about their site on forums, if they get one sale they'll have made a killing and will probably set up a new site before the unlucky buyer can even raise a complaint, then go through it all again.

They just want to get the website out there as much as possible before they get shut down or found out as being a fake.

Links in a forum don't usually carry any weight with Google because they're so easily spammed. A lot of forums will use the 'nofollow' tag on their pages to make sure that Google and other search engines don't visit the offending links.
