Who's going down from the most over rated league in the world?

Yes but whenever an English team beats one from Scotland they are (apparently) lucky.
Still must go I've just seen the time .
It's nearly ten past Haffey. (I told you I was old!!)

It took an 88 minute goal by Suarez to seal the game. makes some of the earlier comments on here look a bit foolish.

If you mention Haffey then I have the right to use the B word.

BANNOCKBURN.

That 'overrated' league earns enough tv money to keep your tinpot league going.

Scottish football would be non existent without the EPL [\B]

Bit like your prescriptions, without the English you'd have to pay for them.

Your views about the EPL are rather tedious now fella

Where on earth did you get this little ditty from? The most hilarious statement I've read in years.

As for the original question.

QPR
Reading
Southampton

Bannockburn!! Wasn't that Scots versus Scots?

whoever goes down from the top league in the world would win the scottish leagues year in year out,if the game was more viable north of the border more top world class players would go there instead of either old has beens or the ones who could never make it in a better league, and don't forget the transfer money for scottish players to southern teams this is a life blood for clubs as the revenues are a third of those in the premier league.

The thread was never meant to go down the usual pish Engerland V Jocks route but there we go eh?

The standard of our league in Scotland is never seen as anything other than rank by Scots. We had 2 good teams capable of now and again competing in Europe now we have 1 but those 2,now 1 teams, are still ranked as teams that would struggle in the Championship never mind the EPL by those of an English persuasion.

I'll ask one question.

Which team in the Championship or the bottom half of the EPL could currently dine at the top table of European Football and more than hold their own?

Doesn't say that much for the current standard of English Fitbaw does it..........................................?

Absolutely, I mean it's not all that long ago that Villareal were playing some very good Champions League football. Not so sure about Gijon or Santander though, think they might be able to muster a good finish though.

Oh wait, you think the EPL is the top league in the world... oh dear

Qpr, reading and villa for me.
As a Newcastle fan, I think there are worse teams than us this season, thankfully. And believe we will have a better second half to the season, hopefully when ba goes cisse will step up, and we can hopefully make a couple signings and get cabaye and Ben arfa fit. Fingers crossed.
Wigan are close as are Southampton to the drop so both could get drawn in if villa pick up, but def feel that qpr and reading are done for.

Joking aside Newcastle will be fine.Sunderland have IMO more chance of going down but there are at least 4 teams worse than both NE teams at the moment.

but could they be as dominant as they are against lesser teams in the scottish leagues in say our championship week in week out? and could they dominate against the top 4 english teams on a weekly basis, the champions league is a one off comp and they set their stall out accordingly, most top english clubs prize the premier league title more so as do most fans.

Championship with ease, would survive with ease in the EPL and through time with the stupid cash would be top 4.

Many will not agree but many do not realise just how big both clubs in Glasgow are.Sadly the questions posed will never need answered.

Personally I think it would be great to have teams from Scotland playing in with their English cousins but I do not see it happening although it is happening in Russia/Ukraine soon I believe.

Hell,Hearts v Shef Utd would surely be a better draw than Hearts v Ross County or Shef Utd v Hartlepool but it's wishful thinking.
