Who's better the better player ?

It depends. I use to play at Wimbledon Common which was short, had some driveable par 4's but was also very tight. I did find that my handicap didn't travel too well to longer courses. Similarly when Royal Ascot was inside the race course it played short in the summer and again the handicap didn't travel. Since joining the new Ascot club my handicap is a lot more accurate in that I can go to different courses and play close to the mark.

I don't think you can make the difference. It comes down to too many variables and the vagaries of the game means even the top players can fluctuate day to day.
