So! Who played and how did you do? I had my 2nd round of the year, felt I didn't play well but managed 34 points. It was only a friendly knock with best mate, FIL & BIL and as I have no official handicap so played off 20.

Was good to be back out on the course, which was in great condition, greens were fast and true!

No memorable shots, a couple of forgettable ones tho!

Played both days, yesterday was a mixed foursome type thing for captains drive in and today was a 4BBB thing and I managed to shot a 76. Cracking weather both days and looking forward to the season now.

Wow! Great score that is pal. Please with it I guess? What do you play off? Weather this side of the water was ok (at least it was dry) but yesterday was better than today. Unfortunately I was stuck at work!!

Played friday for first time as a member at my new course, was just a bounce game with a mate and managed to shoot a 77.

Could have been better but happy enough with it and looking forward now to my first comp there on tuesday with the aforementioned bandito commonly known as chris661 ;)

We had our first comp of the year. Hit the ball lovely but the second outing on greens didn't go too well. The "hit it 12 inches past the hole" rule turned into 60 inches so to say I left a few out there would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. Haha

Played on my own on Friday, played 4 balls on most holes. Didn't count the score. Played some good shots though.

Played Saturday morning, in the roll up. Drew a guy i hate playing with, and two others, and had a shocker. 20 over par. Total junk.

Played today, in a nice little 4 ball, and shot 77. A bit more like it.

Not long got back from my round today, only 3rd time I've played this year, yet again inconsistency ruined what could have been a good round. Too many 7's and 8's today!! Only got 23 SF points :(.
On a high point though my wedge play from inside 80 yards was pretty good for once.

As I have posted yesterday, played yesterday with a score of 94 which is my best by 11 shots, over the moon.Broke the hundred mark.Unofficial 28 handicap ,got to get cards in now.

Played yesterday in a comp and quite frankly shouldn't have been there. I've had a rotten cold the last week and didn't sleep at all Friday night. It's fair to say the 28 points I scored were very well earned. There were a lot of positives after the first few holes. I drove the ball great, hit some good irons and short game was good again after my recent lesson. Once I got to the green is where it got tricky, I've seen baby elephants with better touch :D it's a real shame because I think it could have been a good round if I was feeling a bit more alert

Snuck outvabout 16:15 on Friday evening. Played 9 holes, played shocking, managing 12 points. Played 12 holes yesterday, 7 over par, better. Played 4BBB in the captains cup today, we managed 40 points but not close enough, both stuck 9 holes on the card though, so happy in all and the weather was good all 3 days. Roll on spring...

Played both days. Shot a gross 83 for 43 points(23 out,20 back) yesterday to win £30 in the swindle.

Played the last 16 of the winter league pairs knockouts today against a pair off 10 and 15. I was 2 over gross through 8 for a 5up lead before I tweaked my back on the 9th and just lost my swing. They got it back to all square on the 15th before I parred the 16th and 17th for a 2&1 victory. Worked it out I had 40 points after 17 holes so another good round. My partner was all over the place off the tee but nailed 3 crucial putts so we both did our bit. Playing a pair who are both off 9 next. Beat one of them 10up(hambro scoring) last time so have the mental edge on him.

first game since last October, long game wasn't bad.

putting was hit and miss with a few winter greens

short game was bad- it's the one that suffers the most over winter- some thinned wedges:o and some fat wedges:o and a few fluffed chips round the green:o

need to work on better weight transfer from 8 iron and up.

Enjoyed getting out on the grass though

Delighted its a par 73 so was 3 over gross playing of 11. Lessons over the winter and all the work I have put in starting to pay off. Two weeks ago I had a level par front 9 but today was a lot less stressful . Was putting for birdie on a lot of holes whereas I was putting for par the last time.

Anyway hopefully to beat smange on tuesday although trying to get money off him is nigh on impossible

This post reminds me of the thread a few days ago about whether or not matchplay should be full or 3/4 difference, to me the answer is obvious.

Just back from playing a real pretty par 30 nine holer , such a lovely course but incredibly difficult ponds , lakes and 10 yard wide mountain stream In play on all nine holes with an island green and two other greens with the stream running right in front

Beat the living daylights out of me

Scored 51 and lost 6 balls

I blame the dodgy hire clubs
